DMHAS works frequently with a variety of advocacy groups to ensure that its customers are provided efficient mental health and addiction services that foster self-sufficiency, dignity and respect.

INFOLINE 2-1-1
Infoline is Connecticut's 24-hour telephone information, referral and crisis intervention service, staffed by professionals. Caseworkers deal with a wide range of human service problems and provide the link between people with needs and the resources available. A caseworker may intervene in an advocacy role when appropriate. Spanish speaking staff are available.

The CLRP is an independent, nonprofit legal service organization, entirely separate from DMHAS or any hospital or provider agency. The advocates and lawyers of CLRP represent clients who receive services from DMHAS in Connecticut. They work with people to express their wishes and to get their needs met. Partnership for Responsible Gambling
The mission of the CT Partnership for Responsible Gambling is to serve as a combined leading resource for responsible gambling by offering information on guidelines for responsible gambling, warning signs of problem gambling, and available treatment services. Each partner contributes to the effort by offering its expertise and support to the program. The CT Lottery teamed up with the Connecticut Council on Problem Gambling (CCPG) and the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) to form the CT Partnership for Responsible Gambling - an alliance dedicated to promoting responsible gambling.

Problem Gambling Services provides prevention, intervention, and treatment services for problem gamblers and their families.  In addition, it funds "Bettor Choice" gambling treatment programs throughout the state.  Please feel free to contact the program nearest you to make a confidential referral or talk to a gambling counselor.  Together we can make a difference in the lives of many of those affected by problem and pathological gambling.
